The Most Famous Joseon Dynasty Palace in Seoul
Gyeongbokgung (Gyeongbok Palace)
This beautiful palace is located northern part of the Han River. There are five palaces in Seoul, but Gyeongbokgung was the main palace during the Joseon Dynasty. When you walk into the palace, you will be surprised how well maintained each building is throughout the Japanese colonial era and the Korean War. Gyeongbokgung remembers every big and small historical event past 600 years.
No word can describe this beautiful palace except just look at yourself. Looking for architectural details will be fun activities. You need to make a reservation if you want to visit certain buildings. Changing the guard ceremony is also worth watching. During the spring to the fall season, you can visit Gyeongbokgung after sunset. Foreigners do not need to make a reservation, so please make sure of visiting the palace in the evening hours.

The most notable landmark in Seoul might be Namsan Seoul Tower. This tower is located on Namsan mountain. Going up to the mountain can be a little bit of work, but you will forget about all your effort once you see the panoramic view of Seoul city.

Lotte World Tower
Lotte World Tower is the tallest building in South Korea and 5th in the world. This 123-story skyscraper is located east side of Seoul and has an amazing view of Seoul city. The building offers shopping, restaurants, a business center, a movie theatre, a hotel, a gallery, and residents.
Lotte World Tower is famous for the cherry blossom festival in front of Seokchon Lake during the spring season. Also, firework on New Year's Eve is a huge event.

Insa-Dong
Insa-dong streets are filled with antique shops and galleries. The reason this small town became the center of art is that this is the location of Joseon Dynasty's art institute, Dohwawon.
